Brasil announce extended Women’s World Cup squad.

Brasil Rugby League head coach Paul Grundy has announced the following extended World Cup squad to undergo further high-performance camps in the lead-up to Rugby League World Cup 2021.

 

100% of the squad were born in Brasil including Rio Oylmpics and IRL sevens rugby star Edna Santini.

 

Larissa Lima of the Point Chevalier Pirates in New Zealand is the only player currently living outside of Brasil to progress.

 

The Amazonas will enjoy underdog status in their group with experienced Canada, Papua New Guinea and hosts England in the group stage.
